Mary’s mother os the 1st wife , Susanna Thornton of her father, my ggGrandfather Jesse Thomas Scruggs. his 2nd wife, married in Grenads, Miss. the daughter of Dr. Laurence McGuire, MaryAnn Tolan McGuire. it is their son, Hamilton McGuire Scruggs that’s my gGrandfather. I’ve had most all Cencus 1840 – 1920, since 1984, I was 30. I have Scruggs since we settled Jamestown 1609. Buckingham Co 1700 records.
